Troupe Tidbit #1
On August 7, 2009 my street performance poetry troupe - Barbara Murray and The Olive Branch - began strutting its stuff on the sidewalks of Vancouver. I was a choreographer in one of my previous incarnations, and so have added movement and dance into some of the pieces. The work we perform falls under four umbrellas (so far!):
- 1. My own poetry
- 2. Olive Goodwin's poetry. Olive is a character in Isabella's Passion, the second novel in my Bea and Mildred Mystery Series. (Ergo the name of the troupe, many thanks to my brilliant niece, Emily Dontsos.)
- 3.The Fabric of the Earth (http://fabricoftheearth.com) This multi-platform creative project of mine has been over fifteen years in the making. Under this umbrella, we will be performing,
- excerpted scenes from another series of mine: Jackie Too and the Human Too Chronicles.
- more of my poetry!
- other people's work, including work by Jackie Minns the brilliant Canadian comedian
